Omada, a global leader of Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) software and cloud delivered IGA, today introduced the latest update to Omada Identity Cloud, version 14 CU 11. This release builds on Omada’s track record of innovation with improvements to further our integrations and support for Microsoft Exchange, as well as towards our best-in-breed user experience. This release aims to help customers optimize business efficiency, improve security, and meet compliance mandates.
Microsoft Exchange: Full Lifecycle Management
To remain in compliance and enhance security, organizations typically need to manage access to shared mailboxes, which are inherently challenging to maintain control of. Building off our existing support of Exchange, we have added full lifecycle management to Exchange (Hybrid and Online) to enable identities to request, review, approve, provision, reconcile, and provision access to, and for Room, Equipment, and Shared Mailboxes.
With this latest release, Omada Identity Cloud customers can control who was granted access to these additional mailbox types, as well as see how, and what permissions are assigned, the list of approvers, and SoD violations, along with compensating controls. This helps any organization underway with a digital transformation to bolster security and compliance controls as they move applications like Exchange to the cloud.
Microsoft Exchange Online: Comprehensive Connectivity
With this latest Cloud Update, Omada Identity Cloud also provides a full range of support for Exchange Hybrid, and now also for Exchange Online deployments. This enhancement, which builds off our efforts in Cloud Update 9 to support Microsoft Exchange, allows customers to effortlessly integrate to Exchange Online (full cloud) where access to mailboxes is controlled by Azure AD. In addition to the items listed above, this added Connectivity enables Omada Identity Cloud customers to:
- Effortlessly manage mailboxes and access to them by using default mappings
- Provision additional access rights
- Import user mailboxes and access to them
This upgrade provides customers the ability to control, manage, and secure access within Microsoft Exchange. By upgrading the Connectivity capabilities to, and from Microsoft Exchange, it opens up a wealth of use cases that heighten identity security while making administrators and business users’ lives much more efficient.
Improved User Experience: New Languages
Omada Identity Cloud customers can now display the interface and deploy the solution in Polish and Latin American Spanish to further extend the reach of the solution. Language can be selected within the Omada Identity Cloud portal and makes it much easier for native speakers to navigate Omada in their native tongues.
