Omada, a global leader of Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) software and cloud delivered IGA, recently introduced the latest update to Omada Identity Cloud. The May release builds on Omada’s track record of innovation with improvements to further democratize universal connectivity, improve authentication, and make data imports even more efficient. This release aims to help customers optimize business efficiency, improve security, and meet compliance mandates.
New Connectivity Community
With this latest update, Omada Identity Cloud customers can share connectivity packages with peers, furthering Omada’s goal of providing the most democratized and universal connectivity offerings for customers. This update introduces a new feature that makes for a seamless experience in exporting and installing connectivity settings directly from the Omada Cloud Management Portal.
The Omada Connectivity Community builds on the Configurable Connectivity Framework by enabling all Omada customers to leverage connectivity solutions that others have already created and are leveraging in their own environments. All packages are verified and submitted from current Omada deployments. The Connectivity Manager gives an overview of which packages are installed, and which packages have updates available. Connectivity packages can then be updated with a single click. The Connectivity Community is organized into categories, making it easy to group, search, and find connectivity packages that are relevant for each member. Guides are also available to assist members in getting started, as well with how to effectively share and use the connectivity packages.
Authentication and Performance Improvements
Integrating applications can be an imperfect science for some organizations, especially when using non-standard authentication methods. Until now, enterprises have likely needed to write custom code to integrate IGA with these types of applications. Omada Identity Cloud introduces configurable authentication options for SCIM and OData, without the need for customization.
Additionally, some SOAP services require an http header (SOAP Action), and it is now possible to configure this for the SOAP Collector and Connector within Omada. As such, customers can integrate systems that require a SOAP Action Header, again, via configuration rather than customization.
There are also a series of performance improvements, including enabling delta import of extension attributes for master data, as part of this update that enable customers to more efficiently import data in a continuous fashion.
