Omada Identity Cloud November 2023 Update

We are thrilled to announce Omada Identity Cloud November 2023, our release that went live today, Wednesday, November 15th. This release includes a more user-friendly approval process, connectivity improvements, a new side panel to display child resources in the access request status page, and a link to the Omada Academy in the Omada Identity Cloud main menu.


Highlights from this release include:

  1. A More User-Friendly Approval Process

One of the most exciting new features in this release is the improved approval process. Approvers can now see all of their approvals on a separate, customizable page that is also mobile-friendly. Each approval category is displayed in a separate tab, adapting to the configuration of each workflow step. This feature streamlines the approval process for approvers and requestors: approvers can now see all their approvals in one place, and requestors can be confident that their requests are being processed quickly and efficiently.

  1. Connectivity Improvements

This release also includes several connectivity improvements. Omada now supports POST calls, in addition to GET calls, when retrieving data from REST APIs. Omada has also added a new pagination mechanism for the REST collector called “continuationTokens.” This new mechanism allows Omada to retrieve large amounts of data from REST APIs more efficiently in addition to supporting a wider range of systems, including Basware and SAP Concur. These connectivity improvements make it easier for Omada to integrate with a wider range of systems and applications, which gives you more flexibility and control over your identity and access management.

  1. Child Resources in Access Request Page

Another new feature in the Omada Identity Cloud November release is the ability to view child resources on the access request status page. This is especially helpful for multi-level role models, as it allows users to easily see which resources have child resources. In the past, users had to contact the support desk if they were unsure which resources had child resources. This feature eliminates the need for users to contact the support desk, which saves time and improves the overall user experience.

Access the request status page with a new Child resources column. If a user wants to see child resources for any of their requests, they can click the ”See more” button

  1. Omada Academy Link in Main Menu

This release includes a new link to Omada Academy in the Omada Identity Cloud main menu. This makes it easier for users to access the Omada Academy learning resources, which can help them learn more about Omada Identity Cloud and how to use it more effectively. By default, this link is only available to administrators; however, the audience can be changed in the menu structure setup. This allows you to control who has access to the Omada Academy learning resources and ensure that your users are getting the training they need.
