Omada takes the protection of your data seriously and wants to provide you hereby with information on how Omada processes your Personal Information and which security measures Omada takes to protect your Personal Information.

We define “Personal Information” broadly as information that can be used to identify or traced back to you individually. This may be information such as your name, email address, location, or phone number.

This Privacy Policy explains what Personal Information we may collect from you when you use our product or services, visit our website, or interact with Omada through events and digital campaigns. This Privacy Notice applies when Omada acts as Controller of the data, e.g. when you register for a demo for training and not, when Omada acts as a Processor, e.g. when Omada provides services on behalf of its customers or partners. Omada does not take responsibility for the way its customers or partners handle Personal Information, which can differ from the way Omada handles Personal Information.

What Personal Information Omada collects and How and Why it is collected

Omada collects your Personal Information only to fulfil the purposes as set out below. For these purposes, Omada always relies on a legal basis for processing. These purposes may be, but are not limited to, marketing, sales and analytics purposes. In particular, Omada uses your Personal Information to:

  2. Respond directly to your requests for information, including registration for newsletters, webinars, or other specific requests
  3. Share your contact information with the appointed Omada partner for further follow-ups related to your interests
  4. Provide you with information based on your needs and respond to these needs

All Omada’s processing activities are in accordance with article 6(1) of the GDPR. This means that Omada collects Personal Information from you in situations such as but not limited to situations in which the processing is in line with Omada’s legitimate interests (such as providing you with information on the Omada HUB), in situations where you have given explicit consent, or to act according to contract obligations with you.

The following sections describe which types of Personal Information Omada collects from you and how they are collected. Omada collects Personal Information in various ways and from different sources, including directly from you, from third parties and businesses, as well as publicly available information.

A. When you apply for a job at Omada/are an existing or former employee

Omada HUB

Some services that are available on the website or social platforms permit you to participate in interactive discussions, post comments or other content, or otherwise engage in networking activities. Omada does not control the content that users post to these forums or social networks. You should carefully consider whether you wish to submit Personal Information to these forums or social networks and tailor any content you submit appropriately and in accordance with the relevant terms of use.

The Omada Hub is a knowledge sharing and learning experience platform where Omada employees, partners and customers can share their experiences, best practices, and learn about Omada Identity.

B. When you attend one of our events that is sponsored or hosted by external parties or third-party event organizers

Some Omada campaigns and events are sponsored by or hosted by external partners or third-party vendors. If you register for such an event or campaign through a third party and thereby submit your Personal Information, Omada may receive this Personal Information and process it. Omada will only process your Personal Information if your consent to share the data with partners like Omada has been obtained from you.

In these situations, the types of Personal Information that may be collected from you can include your name, company name, email, job title, phone number and address as well as details regarding your engagement with the campaign or event.

The purpose of processing your Personal Information is to respond directly to your requests for information or other specific requests, for providing news and product updates, as well as advertise and market to you, which includes sending promotional communications, targeted advertising, and presenting you with relevant offers.

C. When you visit an Omada office

When you visit an Omada office for purposes such as, but not limited to the list below, your Personal Information might be stored according to the applicable safeguards and guidelines.

These purposes could include:

The purpose of processing your Personal Information includes Omada’s ability to take relevant authentication and registration measures, to monitor the access to Omada’s offices and to ensure that information is only shared on a need-to-know basis.

When you submit Personal Information such as your contact details through a form on Omada’s website, you consent to Omada storing and using your Personal Information. E.3. Omada’s Cookies

  1. Necessary: Necessary cookies help by improving the usability of Omada’s website by enabling basic functions like page navigation and access to secure areas of the website. Omada’s website cannot function properly without these cookies.
  2. Preferences: Preference cookies enable Omada’s website to remember information that changes the way Omada’s website behaves or looks, and they store information such as your preferred language or the region.

F. Collection of personal data from children

Omada does not consciously collect or process any Personal Information from children under the age of 13. If Omada is made aware that Omada has collected Personal Information from a child under the age of 13, in a manner that is conflicting with either article 8 of the GDPR, or the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of the United States, Omada will delete this information promptly.

How Omada stores and protects your Personal Data

Every time you share Personal Information with Omada, Omada takes proper action to protect this Information from illegitimate access or disclosure. Furthermore, Omada has a confidentiality agreement with each of its partners or Subprocessors, to ascertain that appropriate measures are taken to prevent exposure or malicious use of your Personal Information.

How long Omada retains your data

Omada retains your Personal Information in Omada’s databases only for as long as such information is needed and useful for the purpose for which it was initially collected. Omada stores Personal Information for verifying durations, depending on the type of Information, but only as long as Omada continues to have a valid reason.

This includes allowing Omada to pursue available remedies or to limit any damages that we may sustain, to solve or contain a recurring problem or to have enough Information to respond to future issues, to uphold agreements between you and Omada, to prevent fraudulent activity and to be compliant with applicable law.

Transfer of personal information to a third country or third parties

Omada may disclose Personal Information to third parties and partners, but only for those purposes for which Omada has a legal basis and/or the processing is based on your explicit consent. Omada may disclose Personal Information with third parties outside of the European Union. In these cases, the processing is covered by the relevant legislations of the respective area.

If you contact Omada and are located in a country where Omada is currently not located in, Omada can choose to share your Personal Information with an Omada partner located in the country you are located in. This applies for example to situations where you fill in a form on Omada’s website, or when you participate in an event that is sponsored by Omada.

Your rights with respect to your personal information

If Omada processes your Personal Information based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at all times. This does not affect the lawfulness of the processing and collection of your Personal Information before your withdrawal.
