We’re excited to share the November 2025 release of Omada Identity Cloud, introducing new capabilities that strengthen data protection, enhance usability, and improve audit visibility. This release centers on a significant security upgrade for the Cloud Application Gateway, alongside improvements that simplify requests, streamline approvals, and ensure greater transparency across governance workflows.
Let’s take a closer look at the new capabilities now available:
Zero Knowledge Architecture
The Cloud Application Gateway now supports Zero Knowledge encryption with Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) functionality. This capability allows customers to encrypt sensitive data using their own managed public keys.
This Zero Knowledge model eliminates the possibility of backend access to customer secrets. It gives customers complete ownership of their data and strengthens regulatory compliance. By ensuring no decrypted data is accessible outside of the customer’s environment, this feature provides strong privacy assurances and reinforces trust in Omada’s cloud security posture.
Simpler Requests and Clearer Approvals
The Access Request process now supports flexible open text inputs for request reasons, replacing the reliance on predefined lists. This gives organizations additional control over how users justify access.
Access requests now support free-text input for clearer justifications.
Approvers also gain clearer visibility with a graphical timeline that displays the full request history and its current state. This new view helps managers understand where a request is in the process at a glance, improving transparency and reducing delays.
The new approval timeline helps approvers track request progress at a glance.
The Role Promotion process has also been refined with a redesigned form that includes predefined fields and structure, providing a cleaner out-of-the-box experience.
Improved Audit Traceability and Reporting
Surveys now include the identity of each respondent in exported files, ensuring traceability and accountability for every response. This enhancement supports audit and regulatory requirements by linking survey data directly to the individuals who provided it, removing the need for manual cross-referencing and reinforcing data integrity.
