Omada Identity Cloud’s February 2025 release introduces a variety of enhancements that streamline governance, improve user experiences, and offer more flexibility in managing access rights. This update touches on everything from advanced provisioning processing to simplified assignment revocations to expanded connector options.
Post-Provisioning Event Processing
We are introducing support configuring post-provisioning actions through event definitions. This enables multiple provisioning jobs to be triggered from a single assignment creation or change, allows better control over provisioning timing, and supports initiating provisioning jobs based on changes in external systems.
A common use-case is sending passwords via an external API. Additionally, this feature allows on-boarding systems exclusively for provisioning, making post-provisioning event processing more flexible and dynamic.
Revoking Assignments: UI & Functional Update
A new summary panel appears when you remove an assignment, allowing you to specify a revoke date and offering color-coded feedback. This approach increases clarity and ensures administrators can track entitlement changes effectively.
Suggested Filters in Access Requests
Restored and optimized suggested filters for the access request search field provide a faster way to locate resources. Although disabled by default, organizations can enable it to reduce manual effort and simplify filtering.
Technical Preview: Timer-Service-Launched Approval Process
Approvals are initiated by the timer service rather than during the access request, letting users finish requests more quickly without waiting for approval steps to launch. This enhances the efficiency of submitting access requests, allowing the user to proceed to other tasks faster.
Connectors Update
New connectivity includes LDAP RACF for IBM z/OS management, Salesforce API v61 integration, and an SAP SuccessFactors connector that leverages SCIM API v2. Together, these broaden system coverage and streamline identity management.
REST Connectivity – JSON Array Support in Request Templates
Extending the request template feature to handle JSON arrays enables more complex scenarios, such as updating multiple items with a single request.
Support for Portuguese Language Version
Portuguese is now available in Omada Identity, with ongoing improvements planned for future releases.
