We’re excited to share the August 2025 release of Omada Identity Cloud, introducing a set of targeted enhancements that help you operate more securely, efficiently, and at greater scale.
This release builds on the recent launch of the Cloud Application Gateway, adding built-in failover and dedicated instance grouping to ensure continuous availability and stronger contextual configuration control. We’ve also expanded our identity analytics with new ways to surface data quality issues, redesigned the reporting experience for easier insights, and introduced hybrid dashboards that support deep audits without performance impact. The platform now supports OAuth-based authentication for Exchange Online. Let’s take a closer look at the new capabilities.
Cloud Application Gateway: High Availability and Dedicated Instance Control Added
Following the general availability of Omada’s Cloud Application Gateway, we’re introducing two major enhancements.
The first is support for multi-instance groups. This update ensures uninterrupted performance during maintenance or failures by providing built-in redundancy and automatic failover for import and provisioning worker services. As a result, organizations can scale confidently, knowing core operations remain responsive and resilient without requiring manual intervention.
The second enhancement enables systems to be assigned to dedicated instance groups. This gives your administrators fine-grained control over how environments are configured and isolated contextually. It simplifies management of complex deployments by enabling strict separation of environments, while reducing the risk of cross-system access or misconfiguration. These enhancements collectively make the Cloud Application Gateway more robust and better suited for enterprise-scale identity environments.

Driving Deeper Insight with Identity Analytics Enhancements
Identity data is only as valuable as your ability to understand and act on it. With this release, we’ve expanded the capabilities of our Identity Analytics platform to offer more powerful and user-friendly ways to pinpoint issues and generate contextual insight.
The Data Quality Dashboard now includes:
- New widgets that provide visibility into unused identities and accounts
- Identities with missing or terminated managers
- Other common governance gaps
These additions help ensure that your identity landscape remains compliant, lean, and easy to audit.
Quickly surface identity data issues such as missing attributes, orphaned accounts, and inactive identities to improve governance accuracy and actionability
To support faster, more intuitive reporting, we’ve also redesigned the Report Generator.
With categorized data fields and a new layout for controls, building customized reports is now simpler and more efficient. The updated design streamlines filtering and navigation, helping you get to the insights you need with fewer steps.
Additionally, our new Hybrid Dashboards introduce a smarter way to access detailed or historical data without slowing down performance. Rather than loading full datasets upfront, dashboards now use contextual widgets and date pickers to let you navigate directly to specific insights, such as change logs or event histories, on demand. This update is currently available across Access Navigator, Audit Trail, and Data Quality dashboards, empowering more targeted audits and faster issue resolution.

Strengthening Platform Security with OAuth Email Authentication
In alignment with industry-wide shifts toward modern security protocols, we’ve introduced support for OAuth-based authentication in Exchange Online. Using the Client Credential Flow, organizations can now move away from basic SMTP authentication in favor of a more secure, standards-based method. This change enhances the overall security of email-based workflows within the Cloud Management Portal and ensures compatibility with evolving best practices.
We encourage you to explore these new features and discover how they can elevate your identity management strategy. For more information or to speak with a member of our team, please reach out to your Omada representative.
