Omada and STEALTHbits Technical Alliance Combines DAG with IGA to Solve the Problem of Unstructured Data

The exciting partnership offers a massive opportunity for both organizations’ customers to leverage Omada’s Omada Identity solution alongside STEALTHbits StealthAUDIT and StealthDEFEND to get in control of all their data – not just the structured information contained in databases.
Currently, unstructured data – such as word processing documents, presentations, spreadsheets, photos and webpages – represents approximately 80 percent of all data existing within an organization, and often includes confidential information about customers, strategic business plans, product blueprints and other sensitive or proprietary information.
Further still, when these documents and resources are stored on local file shares, cloud-based file hosting and sharing services and cloud content management platforms the problem grows exponentially resulting in the data being largely ignored due to its complexity and the overwhelming challenge it presents.
But sadly, data privacy regulations, such as the EU GDPR, are not so forgiving, and organizations must get in control of this data to make sure they don’t violate laws or worse still, expose themselves to a breach from either a disgruntled insider or an external hacker.
